- Wed Apr 29, 2015 3:10 pm #16049 Could someone provide some diagrams of how to best stabilise the ESP, both the 01 and the 07/12 variety.

I tried adding capacitors and some pull ups, and my unit just went bonkers, not being able to be reset...

Despite trying a bunch of different caps, touching the top of the ESP-07, with the metal shielding case instantly causes a reboot. This is with just a wire... not attached to anything. this could go someway towards explaining the reseting EMF issue...

I had similar problems. even with the oscillator mounted sideways the module will sometimes run but very unreliably.

- Mon May 11, 2015 4:41 am #17139 @Sweetpants since you put a decoupling at rst near the chip you don't need to cut the line toward the header pin, and you can still use the rst function. that 100nF is a low pass filter that removes high freq noise before reaching the chip.
