1. XTCOM tools always fails to open the Serial com port.
2. Cant figure how to use the EPStool
3. some Chinese tool that always stuck on Searching for Devices ??

Can some one please help me with some basic steps to update my esp8266 module's Fw from 901.

Yes, The connections are fine as after connecting the module the AP Goes off. but, configuring UART/getting a software that works is a problem !

- Thu Oct 30, 2014 5:24 pm #2070 I use the esptool and works fine. The makefile shows exactly how to use the ESPtool. The command is ther. I type in the console and it works great writing to /dev/ttyUSB0 which is the ESPtool
