- Sun Nov 09, 2014 11:59 pm #2393 As to why the ping times are so long, I'm not sure. I'm just using the stock firmware that came installed on it. I've got pretty fast HW (modern iMac and a RT-N66U Asus router involved) and only a meter from the esp8266 to the router.

From what I've heard, it's probably the stock firmware being slow...

- Mon Dec 01, 2014 5:27 pm #3758 If you want to use screen you just have to press return and then ctrl+j to send the command.
The return will send a line feed and the ctrl+j will send a carriage return.
