It would be nice expansion to see if GPRS, GSM + GPS (sim900C) can be incorporated to the design then it will be an all-in-one for everything Internet of Things.
Cool project that could rival LinkIt ONE board

Awesome idea but WAY outside the realm of whats being tried to be accomplished here, which is simply a great Arduino WIFI module.

It's a good and versatile idea but, as is usually the case, I expect success will depend on unit price.
