- Wed Oct 14, 2015 5:31 pm #31356 Does the Arduino remain tethered to the ESP after uploading a sketch to the board or can you disconnect it and have the board run by itself? I have uploaded the web server example that comes with the Arduino IDE but when I disconnect the two the ESP stops working. I guess I'm not sure what the function of the Arduino is after uploading. I thought it was merely the UART serial connection to enable flashing.
