I can't get esptool.py to complete uploading even the new v0.9 firmware, it gets to 98% and then has an error

Writing at 0x0007d000... (98%)
..
..
Exception.. "Failed to write to target flash"

and with some other bin files it won't even start to upload. i.e same error just at (0 %)

the v0.9 firmware (AT) uploads fine via XCOM_Util.exe (windows) to my device

I've tried several different versions of estool.py (as there are lots of different versions) but none seem to work

Also. I tried the lua binary, but it keeps repeatedly rebooting, so I gave up trying to use it ;-(

- Sun Nov 30, 2014 2:53 am #3584 Maybe you are uploading wrong or big bin file. Lua properly boot need right power source and capacitor. 3.3v peak 300ma and 470 mf capacitor.
