I spend a lot of time to implement gdbstub in my sample projekt. One main difficulty was to find gdb. But now I can run gdb but it´s not working correctly.

Input:

file build/blink.elf
set remotelogfile gdb_rsp_logfile.txt
set remote hardware-breakpoint-limit 1
set remote hardware-watchpoint-limit 1
set debug xtensa 4
target remote com7

Output:

Register 42 is not available
0xe8762040 in ?? ()

I followed the instructions above but something is wrong. Maybe someone else has useful tips.

- Sat Oct 22, 2016 8:01 am #56950 Well, it took me more than a day to find out that the gdb "target remote" command for Windows should be formatted as follows:
Target remote \\.\COM1 (1 or whatever).
