It seems LuaLoader is not able to open a COM port with a high number: On one of my computers the FTDI adapter has COM38 associated to it, and on this computer LuaLoader cannot connect.

Yes, there is a bug in the driver component I am using.
For now, you will have to reassign to a lower COM port until I can look into it.
Device Manager - Advanced Settings - just choose a port number that will not be used simultaneously with the USB to serial converter.
It doesn't matter if 2 devices have the same number if they are not connected at the same time.
