According to the guide:

NodeMCU will automatically flash this file to the right place on first boot, if the sector appears to be empty.

So, I didn't burn esp_init_data_default.bin, as I'm trying to burn the latest master (non-dev) firmware.

Note how the master and dev documentation is different in this respect atm (because the fix for this is not on master yet).

The error message is exactly the same again. Flashing succeed, but I can't connect to the device :/

It's really odd that esptool.py can communicate over COM6 but other tools can't - at least not after you flashed the firmware.

Please have a look at the 2nd part of my comment. I did try to flash it with the esp_init_data_default, but with that one, it didn't respond either.

(By the way thanks for notifying me about 2 different documentation)

Any other ideas? :/

I would be really glad if someone could tell me any idea
