- Sat Feb 11, 2017 5:27 pm #62421 Most of the schematics on the net are incomplete. (including the ones in the previous poster's link) Most do not show the required pull-up resistor on D2. The following schematic is almost adequate. Eliminate the deep-sleep resistor if you are not using that function.

Add a capacitor across the Vcc and ground. Use a 0.1uF as shown but also a larger cap like a 100uF-470uF. Make these as close to the power pins on the module.

Make sure that any voltages applied to the ESP8266 are no greater than 3.3 volts.
