I'm using Arduino IDE 1.8.15 to compile sample codes for the SSD1306 on D1 & D2 at a NodeMCU/Amica and 3.3V power with no display. I2C monitor reports its existence. I have tried different (nodemcu) boards, oleds & digital ports, still the same. The oled works fine with different boards (UNO, 2560). Latest libraries used. Sounds like a software problem but can't put a finger on it. Appreciate any help.

Which library are you using? Is it the 'Adafruit SSD1306' library?

Adafruit_GFX: 1.10.14
Adafruit_SSD1306: 2.5.1
