Hi everyone,
We have seen great advancement in ESP 8266 firmware development at the end-user side of things meaning one uses a tool chain to develop and flash an ESP module.
However I am curious to see whether a platform is available for ESP based IoT ecosystem. That would entail the server side of course and a firmware piece for each node which would participate in the ecosystem. Node management, monitoring etc. A platform which would allows OTA firmware development and distribution to the participating nodes?
Is that too far into the future? Identical approach exists for the Electric IMP and Particle offerings and those appear to be the only closed-source unique pieces which probably allow them to get financing in the first place. Could someone be working on similar ideas for the ESP world but this time a true open source and available to all?
