ESP8266 Community Forum

As soon as I power up my ESP8266-01 module my router WiFi light starts rapidly blinking and viewing the router bandwidth monitor(DD-WRT firmware) it shows a constant 20+ to 30+Kbps simultaneously going in and out.
Could someone please describe what is happening and if there is a way to stop or reduce the consistency of it happening.
