#23503 Interesting, need to keep this in mind for some projects I want to do.... I have seen lots of the small PIR's are 5V.....

#23514 Yes, very interesting. My PIR is also a 5V unit but I found a tip that they could be powered from 3.3v by applying the power to a different pin which bypasses the regulator. See this link:

I will have to try powering the PIR from a separate 5v supply and see if that helps. I'll try that tonight and report back with what happens.
