Hey all, I'm diving through as much documentation as I can I feel I've got a grasp on things now.
I'm planning on laying out the esp8266ex without the premade module for cost and size limitations...
I'm assuming that the esp8266ex comes with preprogrammed rom and just relies on the external flash for program details.
I'm also assuming I can find pre-written firmware for this flash that the modules use.
my question is, what are people using the higher flash chips for? (1-16MB)
if I just want to send and receive data form a local server I'm a little cautious as to what I'll need in my setup.
Are people using the higher memory chips for a html webpage server on the actual device itself or something?
