Does anybody know what the default IP-address will be of the ESP8266 in station-mode when it cannot find any DHCP-server. Does it use a Link local address like: 169.254.1.0 through 169.254.254.255?

- Tue Mar 01, 2016 3:35 pm #42192 Just a guess on my part, I suspect the default could be what ever you code it to be, you are in control...

Usually you connect to an AP ,, If you don't connect , then retry or set 169....... etc.
