#45686 After more reading and searching, I'm thinking of going with what Gary has.

Found the cases,

The Battery, I will go with a 3.7V , around 4000-5000 Mah

The Regularor will be either AMS1117 or HT7333.

Anything else I am missing? I've got PCB, Solder, etc.
I recall reading something about Li-On batteries and voltage drop-off but I can't seem to find any info now.

Appreciate it greatly, gentlemen.

Those are most definately fakes or "recyled" scrap batteries, you're lucky if you get 1000mAh out of them.
There are (to the best of my knowledge) no legit 5000mAh 18650 batteries, anything above ~3500mAh is highly suspicious (so is anything sold as UltraFire/TrustFire from china).

Indeed you are correct. I scrapped that idea after reading online. Ended up buying Panasonic 3400 mAh batteries for about $4.50 each as opposed to the $1 specials. Thanks Lethe...

I still haven't been able to find the link I read before about Li-Ion drop off and the esp8266 shutting off at battery 50%.

I'm planning to go 3.7V Panasonic > ht7333 LDO regulator > NodeMCU V2 board and power a single DB18S20 temperature sensor.

Anything I'm missing or forgotten?
