ESP-01 has only GPIO0 and GPIO2. Can i connect a 4-wire LED-strip to this pins? i want to control a WS2801 strip with FastLED and NodeMCU firmware.

- Fri Oct 14, 2016 8:38 am #56513 Peter Scargill controls WS2812b leds with an ESP-12. He thinks it should work with a ESP-01.

HOWEVER he uses the SDK. If you are happy programming in C then start here.
