Does ESP8266 maintain GPIO output state during deep sleep?

if I send my ESP8266 to a timed deep sleep (i.e. wake up / restart after a given period of time), will it maintain the logic level of configured output pins during that sleep period and until the restart which occurs at the end of the sleep time?
