Using GPIO2 as input to transmit sinusoid (ESP01)

I sucessfully transmitted a square wave (HIGH to LOW) using GPIO2 and now am trying to transmit a sinusoid (a range of voltages from HIGH to LOW).

The problem I seem to be having is that GPIO2 will only read HIGH or LOW and nothing in between. Does anyone know if there is any way around this or have any advice on transmitting a sinusoid?
