Can anyone help or know how to tweak scanning method of ESP8266-01 in order to scann Wifi selectively. I am thinking in order to achieve fastest scanning time i should customize ESP8266 scanning method and below is what i'm thinking.
- Scan Wifi only in specific channels (Probably only channel 1 to channel 5 frequencies)

Is this possible?

Another thing i am thinking is to increase the clock frequency in order to make scanning time faster. Right now i achieve scan time of ~2seconds. My goal is to decrease it to 1 second or below.

- Sat Jul 02, 2016 9:51 pm #50109 I don't have guru's knowledge about that, but, frankly, I doubt you can speed up WiFi scanning by filtering with specific channel, I think that WiFi scan on any platforms will always scans every channels.
