A few time ago, I received some of these modules from Espressif. I don't know how these modules should be connected, I have tried different pin configuration on these modules and at least I could flash them with another firmware but they doesn't do anything, just show a line of garbage in the terminal.
I'm using a USB-TTL with a power regulartor LD33V, also I tried with my Arduino UNO.

The modules are these:


I used this configuration:
GND - GND
3v3 - VCC (3.3V)
EN - VCC (I think EN = CH_PD, "Enabled")
TXD - RX
RXD -TX
GPIO15 - GND
GPIO0- GND

Any idea? Does anyone how to get them to work?

Yes, I only connect the GPIO0 when I want to flash the module

Just asking, your connections seem sensible

Don't know these modules, BTW.

Another attempt : On the picture I see 3 GND pins, did you connect all 3 pins to GND, or could you verify that these pins are connected on the PCB?
