just get any Schottky with approx 30V/1A rating that's availlable.

I can't seem to find a 30V/1A SMD diode, but rather 40V/1A: https://za.rs-online.com/web/p/rectifie ... s/7082197/

Chances are, though, that in the end a brand new NodeMCU including shipping is a cheaper and easier option.

Assumption is the mother of all f*ckups. At least: that's what I'm assuming.

How is that cheaper? Perhaps in your country they sell for a dollar or two but where I live, shipping on both items is the same, and that diode is about 1/100th cheaper, but I need to get the right one.
