when I power up board I get:

AI-THINKER & VOWSTAR, 2014
SDK version:0.9.2
mode : sta(18:fe:34:a2:89:64) + softAP(1a:fe:34:a2:89:64)
add if0
add if1
dhcp server start:(ip:192.168.4.1,mask:255.255.255.0,gw:192.168.4.1)
bcn 100

Observations:
1> I've never seen the VOWSTAR before,
2> sdk 0.9.2 pretty old sdk unless its keyed to VOWSTAR
3> A server has started 192.168.4.1 Have you tried connecting to it.....
4> since the server is running it could be blocking the serial , or changing baud rate,, just a thought
5> since you see the bootup info the ESP Tx is connected properly , don't know about Rx
Looking at my 12- e Antenna up the top right 2 pins tx,rx, do you have good connection to the pins on the mounting board.

Why not download ESPlorer [need java] and use that for the serial monitor + other...
For Flashing I had good results with ESP FLASH DOWNLOAD TOOL V2.4
