ESP8266 Community Forum

- Wed Mar 04, 2015 5:04 pm #11318 I'm working with some ESP01 modules. Connected to my Bus Pirate, I can interact with them, but it does not appear to supply enough power to handle flashing new firmware. Chips barely get warm.

I connected the ESP to a 2xAA battery pack and noticed that the main chip on the board got hot very quickly.

Any ideas?
