I apologize if this problem has a solution somewhere in these forums, but I haven't been able to find it. I'm new to ESP8266 and have been playing around with an ESP8266-01 I bought off of ebay. It seemed to be working fine until I attempted to change the baud rate to 9600 when I was trying to make it work with Arduino SoftwareSerial. That actually did work, but for some reason after powering everything off (and back on again), it doesn't respond to AT commands at any baud rate. Also, I've tried using the flash updater program in Windows 8.1 via a 3.3V FTDI USB adapter, but that only responds with "Failed to connect." The odd thing is if I reset the 8266 while connected at 74880 I can see that's it's booting up fine. I can also see it in the list off available wifi networks and I can connect to the AP. I've tried powering it directly from an 300w ATX power supply so that can't be an issue. Any help would be much appreciated.
