What crystal are you referring to?
For me it looks just like a ordinary ESP-01.
What I else see(just guessing): The board right from it is a 3.3V (AMS1117) voltage regulator. Everything is powered through a (apple style?) USB-wall plug. And the blue thing under the button is the relay, which is properbly powered by a simple transistor circuit (resistor, diode, transistor). And a switch...

BINGO - that's more or less what this is...

This for now is a Web-App

The backend is Firebase
The frontend is AngularJS

For someone who knows the basics, this is simple I would say

thanks for your tips. As for now I was able to start playing the Arduino IDE and deploy some basic functions like buttons to turn on and off the light. Next step is to implement a dynamic webpage to avoid to reload the whole page when hit the button.
