Hey guys,
hope someone can help me. My new ESP8266 V2 just arrived but I cant get windows to detect it and assign a com port too it. I googled for a while now. Some said to install a usb to serial driver but that didn't work either. Basically this is what happens.
I connect the usb cable and the nodemcu led close to the antenna flashes once nothing else happens. I don't get a hardware found dialog or anything similar. I can press the flash button which will make the light flash again but apart from that nothing will happen. I also searched the device manager if it's in there somewhere. Nothing. Would be awesome if someone knew an answer or maybe could tell me if my nodemcu is just broken and Ill need to order a replacement.
