#76672 Hey,

i was able to control a Nema17 stepper motor with an arduino pro mini. Which worked great.
My plan is to change my IoT devices to ESP8266 wifi modules. But whatever i do... i wasn't able to even make one step with my stepper motor.

What i have to play with:

- Driver A4988 (worked before with the Arduino Pro Mini)
- Wemos D1 Motor Shield (can it drive a Nema17 with that?)
- Wemos D1 (As the controller)
- Arduino IDE (including the plugins for ESP8266 and Wemos D1)
- regulated power supply with enough amps

Mostly i just get gibberish in my serial console or just restarts when i upload stepper firmware.

If you would be in my shoes (as a beginner). What would be the easiest way for the first "steps" just to get it running. Nothing fancy...
Just a simple code that makes my Nema17 running.

I am getting crazy here.

Hope there is a easy way :)
