Complete noob here with experience on microcontrollers and Arduino IDE, I have connected my ESP8266 ESP-12E with CP2102 to Arduino IDE using the available board libraries and it seems to work fine as a microcontroller but i cannot figure how should I proceed on connecting to a WPA2-PSK protected network, Serial Monitor is unresponsive to AT commands, I also tried to use esptool but I didn't get any response from the board.
I'm using Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon on a 4.10.0 kernel
