Hi,
I've got my first nodemcu board. I also have an arduino mega with ESP8266 on order.
What I want to be able to do is configure the ESP8266 as a simple remote serial port ( only over my local wifi ) so that I can send and receive data using hyperterm or similar which will present on the Tx and Rx pins of the ESP8266.
Any help appreciated!!!
