In the tools settings I have "flash mode" set to "QIO." Yours is on "DOUT" I just tried from the front USB and it works too now not sure why, but I don't think it matters which USB port.

Just tried all of them DIO, DOUT, QIO, QOUT mand no difference.
Maybe the vendors will have something for me in the morning. Since they are in China, they work during my night.
I will still try anything....
BTW, good eye on the capacitor. It was actually a solder blob.

Still did not fix my wifi connect issue, so if it works as the donor, then ok.
