ESP8266 Community Forum

I would manage a Led Strip in my room using a simple web app.
I would try to do it using a ESP8266 board, but I noted that exist different kind of ESP8266 board...

I know that I ESP8266 is not enough to power on a 12V led strip but it is not a problem for me in this moment.

My goal is:
- wireless board (ESP8266 is fine for this reason)
- PWM pin
- 5v output probably is better in my case. I am going to control led strip using a MOSFET module.

Which ESP8266 model is the right one for me in your opinion?

- Thu Nov 11, 2021 8:42 am #92809 If you want small size and simple use, Wemos D1 is your best option, if you want versatility with Wi-Fi + bluetooth options and many inputs / outputs, ESP32 would be another good option to keep in mind.
