#68184 Hi there,

recently I bought a Esp-201 module from a local seller here in the Netherlands
I thought It was easy to start up and program but it was not,

can someone please tell me how to wire this thing up?

I got this usb programmer from the same store

https://hackerstore.nl/Artikel/620

Originally it is for a pro mini Arduino,
is it even possible to wire up the esp-201 with it?

Tnx in Advance,

Best Regards,

#68219 When you're new, you should really have gotten a development board, like the NodeMCU, WeMos or even a Witty-board, which is practically plug-and-play and costs as much as an ESP-201 (and even less, seeing the prices on the source you got your board from).

The "Problem" with boards like the ESP-201 is that they don't come with RESET- and FLASH-buttons.
So apart from having to connect it to an USB -> RS232 convertor (with the correct 3.3V TTL voltages), you'll have to add those two buttons, along with some pull-up resistors, yourself.

To be able to flash an ESP, you'll have to connect it like this:

and press and hold the FLASH button, while pressing RESET.

Where are you from, in the Netherlands?
If you're not far from here (Breda, Noord Brabant), I'm willing to sell you a proper board (one of my own) for the same price I buy them for (< €5).
