Does anyone have a built firmware that supports the an OLED screen with an SH110r driver? I can't get my builds to work, or is there another work around?

Yes. I'm using a Raspberry Pi 2 Model B with esp-open-sdk and the master branch of the firmware, and it all builds and runs fine.
I also did apt-get install srecord, so that I could use srec_cat to build a single BIN like the official releases.
What modules, u8g drivers and fonts have you selected? As a one off, I could build int/float firmware and email it to you...
