#39490 Don't forget that 8.33ms is the time between 2 zero-crossing, but if you wish to have 256 brightness level, the timing becomes 32us per step, so any jitter can make your lamp flickers.

BTW, you can get rid of the diode bridge if you are using an Sharp PC814 instead of 4N25. It also provide more precise zero-crossing.
