I would like to know also since I have the same problem..
I put a 3.3 to 5Volt converter between my ESP and the sensor and on the other side I used a little voltage divider.
I used a LOW signal to drive the sensor-led but whatever I do the output is to low to make sense. (around 200mV - the sensorspecs say it works past 500mV)
the strange thing is that by varying the timing (specs say:280usec on;sample;40usec on;9600 usec off) the voltage works opposite of what I would think should happen..
Looking at the output-diagram of the sensor changing the timing to 200;120;9600 should probably give a lower output-Voltage but in my case it goes from 160mV to 200mV (measured by the ADC from the ESP)
Measurementvalues do go up when I blow some smoke from my solder-iron into the sensor so it is not dead.
I don't have an osciloscope to see what is going on.
Has anyone got it running??
