A Webcam over Serial port ? You're kidding ...
Even at the max baudrate 921600, you won't get the speed require for video streaming.
Also, like Pablo said, it is not simply question of changing USB connector time, there is no software/driver on ESP to do USB Host OTG.

Yea didn't thought of of the speed specification. Sorry.
Any other way, this can be done?

I have some Idea. And I know what you said about "USB Host instead of CP2102 USB Device".
But what I meant by "I am thinking", I mean how can I modify it to?

- Wed Jul 06, 2016 4:22 am #50285 Instead of using ESP, use a small Linux board with USB host ports such as raspberry pi, pi clones (banana, orange), etc.

There are USB host shields for Arduino but porting the USB host software will not be easy. And the cost of a USB host board is more than the cost of some Linux boards.

An OrangePi-One cost is $9.00, and you have 2 USB on it, one can be used for the WebCam and the other for RTL8188 WiFi dongle.
