In fact, I'm running in STA+AP, and in both modes, it is almost the same speed.

I guess you are sending files to a browser? Try a different browser.
I use code quite like Martin's & it is fast - with Internet Explorer (W7) & Safari (iOS), SLOW with Firefox & Chrome (both W7)
Makes no obvious difference whether I use Station or AP mode.
There was some discussion about this on Github a few months ago.
