#51370 Hi,
sorry but I assumed (seeing multiple feedback from spanish customers) that aliexpress is commonly known.
If I look there I see that ESP-12F is about the same price (<2$US incl. shipping). On ebay prices are higher but still ESP-01 and 12F are close. And the step-up alone is >4EUR.

But I'm out now.

#51371 Where I am in Spain is a fairly remote location, anything from outside the EU very seldomly arrives to my house especially small packages and I will GUARANTEE that if you ask any Spanish members about the issues with Correos they will fully back me up on this, with shipping it is about 10 euros to get a 12e or similar to where I live then you have customs charges on top of that so for one it could turn out to 15 euros, where if you buy from Spanish online services they are about 7 euros plus shipping (for an 01) sometimes cheeper, never the less I am restricted to buying from EU suppliers due to my own experiences in the past with having things shipped, not to mention the time delay of ordering from outside the EU, not that I should have to explain.

The stores I am getting these extras from are local which means local shipping rates, no customs charges, and 90% more chance they will actually reach me, for 5 - 10 devices this is cheaper than buying 5 - 10 12e's and only two items more to go on my final pcb where as with the 12e's they are bigger, more expensive, plus the extra costs. I did mention I only want to keep 01's for a certain number of projects, I have 2 12e's on the way which cost me 7 euros each and 20 EUROS SHIPPING!

Again did you see this comment which it seems you would prefer to ignore and keep arguing with me:

"If there is a way to ensure that the full battery is used down to the end and the chips and sensors function correctly and when in light sleep the regulator does not use up the battery I am definitely open to knowing how to do this as it will save time and money. "

So if there is a way to ensure the battery gets used fully and the chip and sensors still function then do let my know, after my own research last night the cost to build my own would be more than 4 euros, this is a function I need, I am happy to learn a better and cheaper way but if there is not one then that is the regulator that I have found many people praising so I am going to try it.

#51399 Hi,

no I don't have any argument pro using unecological primary cells. This is archaic technology for me.
A LiIon with charge over USB is no miracle these days when allmost every one owns a (smart) phone with USB charge. But I still don't know your field of use so I'll stop arguing.

Just to show I try to understand: Do you know this EU based store? They have reasonable price and on some of their articles in ebay you get free shipping in Europe.

#51401 Hi and I wasn't ignoring advice I am just experimenting with different ideas to get the best possible outcome. What Lilon would you suggest? I would still like to get the voltage down to as little as possible but like I said I am open to suggestions, I generally do two or three different versions of my devices before I decide on the best design.

WOW, I have never come across that site but thank you mate that is perfect. Will definitely be checking that out.
