I need a GPRS module to do basic text message (SMS) comms and then then a brain with a few sensors for a project I am busy with. It must be cheap so I wanted to use the A6 module for the comms and the ESP for the brain and sensing. So I want to connect an 8266 to the A6 module.
Problem is power requirements seem to be different between the two: ESP takes 3.3V and A6 takes 5V. You can shift the levels between them no problem. My question is whether I can successfully run the A6 at 3.3V and thus only have 1 power supply for both.
