Good news.
Only gpio00 is monitored to abort autostart, so if you are using a different gpio you don't need to wait 2 mins.
Also, if you have an led available (or use the esp's blue led) you could make the script blink the led a few times at startup, to signal when your script has actually started, rather than waiting.
Plus, if you are impatient, it's possible to specify a reduced autostart delay.
