settings not saved

- Tue Dec 01, 2015 7:17 am #35429 Hello everybody! I finished my setup and i was just flashing the ESP8266Basic.cpp.bin via esptool.py

I see the device as "ESP in my mobile's WiFi scan, and i can also connect and i see [VARS], [EDIT] etc - so the normal user interface as it should be.

However, when i try to do settings (AP Mode, Log In Key) and save, then go to [var] and back to [settings] - the settings disappear - all fields empty.. did i misunderstood?

I was expecting, when i reboot, i should see a WiFi like "myESP" what i was using as Name in AP settings - no?

I am Using an ESP-01 black (1MB) and the latest build (160MHz) from Github..

Also, i am able to enter source code in [Edit], but in [run] it just says "Done.."

The settings page should save the settings. Try hitting the format button on the settings gs page and see if that clears up the issue.

- Tue Dec 01, 2015 7:30 am #35431 :-) I did save the source and the browser popped also up a message box "saved". But no luck still, also format did not help.

Maybe it writes too fast / cannot write to the flash? Should i try a different .bin? (if yes, which one)?
