Yes, that's what I thought should happen, but it doesn't.
Maybe it's just me ( I've learnt to always suspect myself when things aren't right).
I don't want to keep interrupting (get it!) the captain, so if anyone else is listening with a few minutes to spare, perhaps you could try to get the interrupt command to toggle an led from a button press, and then let me know how you get on please?
