I have the same problem. I am using at_v0.20 and sdk_v1.1.1_15_06_05. I see the Mem check fail error. However, my AT commands seem to work fine so far.

I see the same message but it appears to be benign. So far no-one has reported any issues that can be traced back to what the message may mean. Obviously, it is disconcerting to receive such an expressive error message and not be able to understand its import, but for me and for now, I just choose to ignore it and have had no ill effects.

I'm seeing this "MEM CHECK FAIL" too, but I decided to ignore it since my Sketch is running fine.
It is probably printed by some core functions about wifi configs, a bug recently introduced my Espressif, I hope they will fix it.
