ESP8266 Community Forum

After that I configure the ESP8266 as both STA and AP, connect to a local network and listen to a port, I'm wondering what is the three handshake protocol of it with another wifi module or a computer that want to talk to with it on the same port.
How do I know if I'm connected to it or not on the same port?

Three-way-handshake if something of TCP. It has nothing to do with WLAN ("wifi") and you won't notice anything of it, you just setup a connection and that's all.
