#44954 I'm don't now how to connect two esp.s together. I only now that one of them must be client and the other server. I am programming the esp.s in Arduino IDE. I use the examples for ESPAccessPoint for them Server and WiFiClient for them Client but the client can not connenct to the server. The codes are:
SERVER
Code: Select all#include <ESP8266WiFi.h>
#include <WiFiClient.h>
#include <ESP8266WebServer.h>

/* Set these to your desired credentials. */
const char *ssid = "SWITSH";
const char *password = "123456";

ESP8266WebServer server(80);

void handleRoot() {
   server.send(200, "text/html", "<h1>You are connected</h1>");
}

void setup() {
   delay(1000);
   Serial.begin(115200);
   Serial.println();
   Serial.print("Configuring access point...");
   /* You can remove the password parameter if you want the AP to be open. */
   WiFi.softAP(ssid, password);

   IPAddress myIP = WiFi.softAPIP();
   Serial.print("AP IP address: ");
   Serial.println(myIP);
   server.on("/", handleRoot);
   server.begin();
   Serial.println("HTTP server started");
}

void loop() {
   server.handleClient();
}

CLIENT:

Code: Select all#include <ESP8266WiFi.h>

const char* ssid     = "SWITCH";
const char* password = "123456";

const char* host = "192.168.4.1";

void setup() {
  Serial.begin(115200);
  delay(10);

  // We start by connecting to a WiFi network

  Serial.println();
  Serial.println();
  Serial.print("Connecting to ");
  Serial.println(ssid);

  WiFi.begin(ssid, password);

  while (WiFi.status() != WL_CONNECTED) {
    delay(500);
    Serial.print(".");
  }

  Serial.println("");
  Serial.println("WiFi connected");
  Serial.println("IP address: ");
  Serial.println(WiFi.localIP());
}

void loop() {
  delay(5000);

  Serial.print("connecting to ");
  Serial.println(host);

  // Use WiFiClient class to create TCP connections
  WiFiClient client;
  const int httpPort = 80;
  if (!client.connect(host, httpPort)) {
    Serial.println("connection failed");
    return;
  }

  // Read all the lines of the reply from server and print them to Serial
  while(client.available()){
    String line = client.readStringUntil('\r');
    Serial.print(line);
  }

  Serial.println();
  Serial.println("closing connection");
}
