I had burned a code onto my esp board a week back and didn't use it as such throughout the week.
Today, when I switched it ON, in read from flash mode, it wouldn't go past the bootloader.
On the 74880 baud window, this string is displayed
ets Jan 8 2013,rst cause:2, boot mode:(3,7)

load 0x40100000, len 25020, room 16
tail 12
chksum 0x2f
ho 0 tail 12 room 4
load 0xffffffff, len -1, room 12

I tried to re flash it also, it boots into bootloader mode but doesn't respond after that.
NodeMCUs flash utility gets stuck within 30 seconds of issuing flash command. ESP8266 flash downloader erases the flash but after that
Writing at 0x00000000... (0 %)
Failed to write to target Flash
is displayed.
I fear my flash might be damaged. Please advice.

I tried to erase the flash and still nothing happens.

I tried the same software on a ESP-01 and it worked.


Is it dead?
