update: for some reason my module started working. VCC<->CH_PD AND I had to swap RX/TX. 9600 baud. Hope this helps others who get the module from same source
I'm using a module I received from banggood 2 weeks ago. I wired it up(gnd,tx,rx,vcc) to my raspberry pi serial port. (i checked that the port works by connecting tx to rx and seeing it echo output). However i get nothing from the module...I tried ,9600(which is what most banggooders report), 115200,57600, no dice
i tried all permutations of connecting the following pins: GND<->GPIO0 , VCC<->CH_PD, RESET<->VC no difference
Any suggestions on how to configure the device? The frustrating thing is that I see the wireless access point, I can connect to it and i can ping it...but I can't seem to do anything else over IP...and serial refuses to work for me.
Any ideas?
