- Sat Jan 08, 2022 12:27 am #93294 My first thought is that your new network connection is 5GHz, whereas the ESP8266 and Pi both operate at 2.4GHz. Check to see if your router is dual band and can emit on both of those connections at the same time; if it isn't, you might wish to switch to 2.4GHz. If your router isn't dual band, another good solution is to maintain your present router on 5GHz and set up another router as a 2.4GHz access point. Alternatively, acquire a dual-band router:P.
